Gang members nabbed after slaughtering a SAPS officer

Gang members in South Africa do not seem to have respect of one's office they hold. Be it an ordinary citizen or a member of the police department, once you cross the line, they will surely come for you.

This is what happened to a member of the police department in the East London. The deceased officer joins the long list of people who fell on the wrong side of the barrel of the guns possessed by the thugs.

Members of the Hawks Serious Organized Crime Investigation carried out investigation together with the Queenstown Public Order Policing team which seems to be giving answers to the heinous killings. During a joint operation with these members conducted, five suspects got arrested.

The arrested suspects are strongly believed to be linked to one notorious gang which operates in the area. The suspects who got arrested at age between 34 and 49 and they were all arrested on the morning of the 5th of October 2021.

According to a media statement which was published by the police department, a warrant officer named Kolile Kulu was on the 30th of August 2021 shot dead at 10:00 p.m.

Three men are said to have approached the officers home and knocked on his door. The wife of the officer opened the door and they gained entry and demanded the whereabouts of the officer. His wife pointed to the room where he was sleeping and they proceeded to this room. Once they stepped into his room, the three dangerous gangsters shot him dead while he was asleep.

The matter was reported to the police and investigations began. A docket was opened which was later on transfer to the Hawks who intensified the probe.

Following the thorough investigation which was carried out by the members, five suspects were arrested today. Two more suspects are said to be on the run. In the media statement, the police made it clear that their arrest is imminent.
