Shootout ensues as cops, SANDF arrest 158 allegedly undocumented Lesotho nationals at roadblock

158 people were coming to South Africa from Lesotho when the police had roadblock in R702/ R26 crossing in Wepener area. When they checked their documents. They found that they didn't have proper documents and they arrested. From the minibus they were traveling with, shots were fired at the officials at the roadblock. The cops returned fire and one men was slightly injured during the crossfire and was rushed to the hospital in Bloemfontein

The police apprehended 5 of the Suspects for possession of allegedly stolen property & possession of unlicensed firearms. In terms of the Criminal procedure act police can seize any object if it is suspected to be used for criminal activities in short being in possession of a knife isn't illegal unless you have it to stab people
