JMPD officers recovered a hijacked vehicle following the report about a vehicle that had been abandoned on the road.
According to the information given a silver Polo was hijacked yesterday night 16 April 2022 Vanderbijlpack, where the victim was attacked by 2 suspect who where allegedly armed.
The suspects took the phone of the victim to prevent him from accessing the police immediately after the incident, the drove away with almost everything of the victim including his car.
His ancestors allegedly saved him, the past 2 days it was raining and the grounds are muddy, the criminals drove the vehicle to Unaville while the ground are wet ND the vehicle got stuck in the Mud it was said the suspect attempted to take it out of the mud but failed to do so.
Until the suspects ran away leaving the vehicle, at the spot where it was found by the JMPD after it was reported by a local community member.
According to the statement given, the 2 suspects failed to take out the vehicle and they flee on foot. The officials arrived on the location where the vehicle was abandoned and discovered that the suspect left an unlicensed fiream.
The vehicle was recovered at Unaville 4 Streets.
The police with take finger prints on the firearms and see if theu can receive any information about the identity of the suspects, South Africa is one country currently facing challenges of hijacking in large numbers.
