One Of The Community Halls In Ntuzuma That Housed The KZN Floods Victims Has Flooded

One of the community halls in Ntuzuma that housed the KZN Floods victims since last month was reportedly flooded over the weekend due to the heavy rains, the situation in kwaZulu-Natal is seriously devastating on so many levels because now it seems like the people are going through some Curse or something like that at least that's how they feel not that it is true.

Here we are talking about people who were affected by the previous floods and were housed in this community hall only for now to be affected by the floods again, where they were sleeping. It is seriously concerning and what is the government prepared to do, despite the huge financial promises that they have made they have not done anything concrete and these floods are bound to come back here again if not this year next year.

These are the effects of global warming and our government insists on coal plants, it is also a decade behind in EV adoption and has failed to make infrastructure flood resistant like Japan. It seems like our government is always glorifying very backwards tactics and things that were supposed to be abolished a long time ago, we are not progressing in the right direction.

And it is seriously affecting people's lives in a manner that they have not even anticipated, but they can't do anything about it because then they will be admitting to their failure.

The uncomfortable and undeniable truth regarding the floods in KZN is that old drainage systems can partly be blamed, most drains and pipes were installed by Apartheid regime and zero cleaning and patching has been done on most of them since, leakages are everywhere.

This time around KZN was on high alert; eThekwini Municipality kept on sending updates and caution. The Province officials were working tirelessly, doing evacuations and we can simply say that were impressed by the response because it shows that they are really trying and that respect to ensure that their people are safe.
