After a white Opel Corsa bakkie struck the rear of the driver of a white Toyota Hilux bakkie, the driver of the Hilux requested assistance from RUSA members. This is after the other driver failed to stop at the accident scene.

The motorist gave the Reaction Officers operating in the Verulam CBD the registration number, which they circulated. At 12:53, the Opel Corsa bakkie was seen on Todd Street.

Officers in response brought it to a stop firmly. The driver said that he hit the car in front of him because his brakes had malfunctioned.

The complainant decided to settle the dispute peacefully rather than file a criminal prosecution.
