Thulani Manqoyi, a 52-year-old primary school teacher was killed while he was in his car, in the parking area of Heinz Park Primary School by a 14 years old boy that has to be found. The Grade 6 teacher had been working for in the same school since 2008.
Authorities are searching for two suspects in connection with the attack.
Two suspects, that are yet to be found, they were seen by others teachers during the attack, held up the security guards at gunpoint and directly walked up to Mangoyi. According to the police investigations, concludes that it was well planned because they were straight to the teacher.
The shooting had chock wave in the community, a local express his deep sad feelings: "We are very distraught and sad as a community. There have been many gang-related shootings specifically in that area close to the school and we are deeply concerned about it".
