HIJACKED VEHICLE RECOVERED
The Tactical Response Team obtained intelligence received about a Toyota Fortuner which was hijacked from the Bluff, the security forces then proceeded to rushed to the scene of the incident.
The vehicle tracking company relayed information that the vehicle was possibly in the Folweni area, but could not get a precise location due to possible jamming of signals by the suspects.
Suspects use signal jamming equipment that they can easily buy inline and have them shipped into the country, this is a very easy process and the police seem to allow this criminality to occur.
The TRT members managed to spot the vehicle across a valley, and relayed the information leading all members in the right direction.
The vehicle was successfully recovered by our TRT, Cartrack and CCPO. The law enforcers are still looking for suspects who are involved in such criminality to come forward, and they are also encouraging people to give information that would lead to their arrest.
