Police search for domestic helper who was captured on CCTV smiling with her stolen loot

When a football player scores a winning goal, jubilant scenes of celebration mark the occasion.

A domestic helper who managed to walk away with her stolen loot put up a brace smile for the cameras.

It is alleged that the domestic worker is of Zimbabwean origin and she was seemingly unaware that she was being recorded on CCTV.

The incident was confirmed by Malvern police spokesperson Sergeant Sthembile Kheswa.

Kheswa stated that the suspect is a Zimbabwean national and she is wanted in connection with the theft.

"She was working for the complainant from 5 June 2022. She left the house in the morning with four big bags and took an Uber which dropped her off outside Jwayelani Butchery in Pinetown,” divulged Kheswa.

No further details were given about the incident but anyone who knows the whereabouts of the woman is adviced to contact Chatsworth police on 031-489-9619.

Her name was also not given and police did not reveal what the woman allegedly stole.
