Home Affairs Action has Caused Irreversible Damage to Zimbabweans - Simba Chitando.

The people of Zimbabwe are still not clear about their fate after the end of 2022 which is the expiration date for the controversial Grace period which was issued to them after the cancellation of Zimbabwe exemption permit.

The issue surrounding this very initiative has always raised misunderstanding between South Africans and Zimbabwean nationals who are often asked to return back to their home country due to the role they play in increasing insecurity and unemployment happening all over the nation.

However, the lead counsel to Association of ZEP Holders, Barrister Simba Chitando has blamed the Department of Home Affairs for the suffering most Zimbabweans are facing as a result of ZEP cancellation.

Simba Chitando claimed that the cause of action which is the cancellation of ZEP has caused an Irreversible damage to Zimbabwean nationals living in South Africa.

He claimed that the actions from South Africa suggest that Zimbabwean nationals are so low that they cannot access court which even makes the matter worse. He further reassured ZEP Holders that he will continue to press lawful charges against the Department of Home Affairs and he shall not be dissuaded by anyone.

According to his exact statement on Twitter:

'The cause of action, and not the legal action itself, has caused the irreversible damage. Suggesting Zimbabweans are so low they cannot access Courts, makes it even worse. We will press on in pursuing lawful action & shall not be dissuaded by anyone.
