The MEC for Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs at Mpumalanga and Member of the provincial Executive committee PEC of the ANC , Mandla Msibi , appeared in court again today with his two co-accused for the hearing of his bail application his bail application in the Nelspruit Magistrates Court .
The National Director of the public prosecution charged Msibi with murder and attempted murder with his co accused .
Msibi’s arrest with his co-accused is amounting after a shooting debacle that transpired near Coyote’s Shisa Nyama a popular drinking spot in Mbombela , Mpumalanga .
It is alleged that the shooting incident was in relation to ANC internal. battles about a list of elective conference that took place at at Nutting House Lodge outside Mbombela.
Msibi and his co accused were reported to be driving in a blue bakkie , they are alleged to have opened fire on a VW Polo.
Today when Msibi and his co-accused were in court there was Bomb Scare at the Hearing, this led to the case being disrupted as magistrate evacuates the court.
Yesterday the Mpumalanga premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane has fired Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs MEC Mandla Msibi from his position in the provincial cabinet of mpumalanga with immediate effect.
“Mandla Msibi is a comrade of mine, whom I have known and worked with over many years. I hold him in very high regard. and shall continue to so do until proven otherwise” Premier Mtshweni-Tsipane said .
