Road Accident

57 Commuters Escape Death After Bus Caught Fire

A Bus with passengers was heading to Tweenfontein in Mpumalanga from Marabastaad Tshwane when it caught fire out of nowhere.

The putco bus caught fire on Maloto road,it is unclear what actually caused the fire. Six people were burnt beyond recognition, and fifty seven were able to escape with multiple injuries.

People have expressed how they feel that Putco buses are no longer safe and that Government should have cancelled the buses long time ago and that they should be investigated cause they are not road worthy and a danger to the roads.

Some have also expressed how Moloto road is not a safe road and that accidents always happen, government said it would do something about it but nothing has been done.

Road accidents occur all the time on our roads, because of reckless and drunk driving by drivers, also because of the bad roads vehicles have to use and because of vehicles that are not roadworthy.

Let us be safe on our roads.
