The police who were involved in the Enyobeni tavern in Scenery Park where 21 people lost their lives last Sunday said they are done doing their job, together with the investigating team.
They are now waiting for the forensic team to release the post mortem results. The Enyobeni tavern has closed it's doors following the ordeal that took place on Sunday.
At the moment, there are bottles scattered at the venue. Shoes of those who were there on that fateful night are also there. The whole place smells alcohol.
Neighbours insist that the tavern should close permanently.
"We have complained many times about that tavern. The owner, police and CPF promised to take action but nothing was ever done. We hardly sleep on weekends because of that tavern", said one of the neighbours.
In the meantime, residents of Scenery Park took the opportunity to express their disappointments about how police fail to attend criminal cases. They mentioned that police took too long to respond on that fateful day.
