The plans were revealed at the party's most recent national executive committee lekgotla. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the minister of co-operative governance and traditional affairs, presented them.

The residents of Eastern Cape have received great news. People hope that this is not a propaganda by the ANC to campaign for the elections. It has been alleged that the process is occurring at a low rate. The delay and sluggishness of the process might have been influenced by the pandemic, which negatively impacted the economy of the country. 

 Port St Johns and Margate, are miles away from each other. This implies that a large city is looming in the Easter Cape province. This is important in terms of moving forward and creating jobs. Development is on the way. If the ANC manages to pull this construction, many citizens will gain their trust and respect, and continue voting them into power.
