Update from Eskimo: LOADSHEDDING Schedule For The Week

In a statement released on Tuesday, July 05, 2022, Eskom said that stage 5 loadshedding would be introduced on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, with variable stages being applied for the remainder of the week.

The utility company that provides electricity has stated that even if some of the generation units have been brought back online, this is not sufficient to bring an end to load shedding because other units have been taken offline for maintenance.

As a result, loadshedding will continue to be applied, albeit at varied phases, throughout the subsequent few weeks because there will still be shortages in the generation capacity.

The following is a list of the ways in which the loadshedding would affect our neighborhoods in Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park (KAE), Ivory Park, Rabie Ridge, President Park, Glen Austin, Mayibuye, Klipfontein, and Tswelopele:

Tuesday, July 5 from 18:00 to 20:30 and Wednesday, July 6 from 2:00 to 4:30

10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the 6th of July on Wednesday

This coming Wednesday, July 6th, from 18:00 to 20:30

10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 7

Thursday, July 7, 18:00 till Thursday, July 7, 22:30

10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the 8th of July.

The eighth of July, Friday, from 18:00 to 20:30

Saturday, July 9 at midnight to 2:30 a.m.

Sunday, July 10 from midnight to 2:30 a.m.

Sunday, July 10th, 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The times for Wednesday and Thursday have been decided upon. The times for Friday through Sunday will be confirmed closer to the time in question once it has been determined whether or not producing units will be returned to operation.

KAE News will continue to keep the community updated on the latest information regarding the loadshedding schedule.
