DJs Fresh and Euphonik Rape Case Dismissed because Of Lack Of Evidence

NPA affirms choice 'not to arraign' in assault body of evidence against DJs Fresh and Euphonik.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has affirmed that the assault argument against DJ team Thato 'DJ Fresh' Sikwane and Themba 'Euphonik' Nkosi has been excused because of "deficient proof".

As per NPA North Gauteng territorial representative Lumka Mahanjana, the agenda was introduced to the investigator who, because of an absence of adequate proof against the pair, chosen not to indict.

"Concerning the DJs Fresh and Euphonik matter, the agenda was in reality introduced to the examiner. Endless supply of all the accessible proof in the agenda, a choice not to arraign was taken. There are no possibilities of effective arraignment on the accessible proof, in light of the fact that the proof is lacking," Lumka clarified.

The assault claims against the pair became visible early a month ago after a lady took to Twitter to make the allegations.

The DJs took to web-based media on Monday and reported to their adherents that the arraigning authority had excused the case because "the charges are without merit".

"We are satisfied to express that, in the wake of considering the entirety of the proof gathered while researching the case made against us, the main examiner has excused the claims on the premise that the charges are without merit. The agenda has been checked nolle prosequi signifying 'won't indict'," their assertion read.
