After being sent to the hospital following the accident, the most recent information indicates that she is making a full recovery and is doing well.
After hearing that South Africa's Minister of Transport, Neliswa Nkonyeni, is alive and currently in the hospital, but that she is not in good condition, South Africans have been left with numerous questions to which they have not received satisfactory answers. The unfortunate event is thought to have been caused by an explosion that took place in one of the vehicle's tires as it approached the Mfolozi River in Ulundi.
