
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) and RUSA Medics were dispatched to a shocking scene on Umdloti Beach Road near Waterloo (KwaZulu-Natal Province), four people sustained injuries after they jumped out of a moving taxi that was on fire.
According to the Reaction Unit South Africa news report, earlier today, Friday, 20 May 2022 at around 07:43 am passengers in a Toyota Hiace jumped out of a moving taxi that caught alight on Umdloti Beach Road near Waterloo (KwaZulu-Natal Province), the reason why the taxi caught alight is still unknown at this stage.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) members and Medics were dispatched to the scene, they found passengers sitting on the road several meters apart from each other, all of them were treated for mild to moderate injuries, the Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire but unfortunately the the taxi was completely destroyed.
