Here Is Why The Government Should Deal With Gang Violence

CAPE TOWN - Efforts to cinch down of posse related viciousness in Lavender Hill and encompassing regions have been expanded.

On Friday, Western Cape Premier Alan Winde and common Community Safety and Police Oversight MEC Reagen Allen joined the Law Enforcement Advancement Plan's (LEAP) Reaction Unit in a ride-along from the Steenberg police headquarters.

The Unit, which is comprised of LEAP officials, has been redeployed to Steenberg and Ottery following an expansion in group related savagery in Lavender Hill and Grassy Park.

Its emphasis is on diminishing vicious wrongdoings and murders.

Winde said it was going about as a competitive edge, helping the SAPS Command Center in answering eruptions and shootings in regions that are not assigned LEAP areas of interest, and which don't have a decent LEAP organization.

All things being equal, he said they were conveyed briefly to reestablish and balance out the networks they're put in.

Allen said the Unit was recently conveyed in Manenberg and Elsies River in the midst of an expansion in group related viciousness, shootings, and murders.

Going ahead he said it would be extended to offer more prominent help to networks affected by eruptions in shootings.
