It is reported that an Isuzu loading Van carrying 22 people had a tyre burst, lost control and overturned. One person, a 23-year old female was certified dead on the scene.
Four people were critically injured, 14 sustained serious injuries and three escaped with minor injuries. The injured were rushed to Dr. C N Phatudi hospital.
This is the second accident reported during curfew hours in the Tzaneen area after five people were killed when a loading Van they were travelling in, allegedly from a liquor store, had a tyre burst and overturned.
The Van had more than twenty-five passengers and sixteen were seriously injured.
On Wednesday, nine people also lost their lives when a Volkswagen Amarok collided head on with a taxi at Ngwanatse Bridge between Kubjana village and Deerpark, also in the Greater Tzaneen.
