One Zimbabwean Man Shot Dead After Spiking a Police Sergeant Car, Two Suspects Still on the Run.

The South African Police have launched a manhunt for 2 Zimbabwean suspects who attacked a family that was changing their flat tyre on the R80 highway in Akasia, PTA.

In the course of changing the car tyre, about 3 men confronted the family after their tyre punctured due to spikes which was placed on the road by these criminals.

One of the the supects shot at the family and the one of the victim shot back at the spikers and hit one of them in the head dead.

Members of PTA flying squad were later contacted about the incident which had happened on R80 direction south next to sosha block xx, on arrival around 22:10, they found Mr Mabasa a police sergeant together with wife and 2 children.

on the side of the road was a zimbabwean man lying in the pool of his own blood with bullet wound on the head and with a firearm on the his side.

Mr Mabasa (Sgt) said his white Ford Fiesta car right front tyre with registration number Dz 62 ch GP was spiked by these criminals. He added that 3 men came out from a nearby Bush and started to shoot at them and Sgt Mabasa had to shoot back at them killing one of the suspect.
