As a result of the closure of the Mbombela Pass, tourists to Kruger National Park are being encouraged to use alternative entrance and exit points.
Tourists from all over the world, both domestic and foreign, who are entering or exiting the Kruger National Park (KNP) have been cautioned to exercise extreme caution when passing through the city of Mbombela.
It is recommended that visitors use gates other than Phabeni, Numbi, and Paul Kruger if they intend to enter or exit the park through those specific entrances.
Protesters have not opened the roads leading into the park in the Mbombela and nearby areas, thus the KNP spokesperson Ike Phahla encouraged people to enter the park through either the Malelane or Orpen Gates instead. According to reports, locals have stopped major routes in protest of the recent rise in the cost of fuel.
This is an important information to all those that it may concern, please let us take note and obey all rules.
