Johannesburg residents plead with politicians to end drugs and crime

The war on drugs and crime in particular has been going on for a very long time in our beloved country, South Africa.

Many people have become victims of drugs wether direct or indirect, the aftermath of drugs hits badly to all those that are involved, when a person dies due to drugs his or her family suffers a great pain of loss.

One of the dangerous effects of drugs are the violent turf wars that claim lives, innocent people have lost their lives many of them being hit by stray bullets. Imagine your child going to and dying due to the fight that occurred between two drug lords.

The residents of Johannesburg have also raised their concerns over the ever so increasing crime rate, many residents do not feel safe walking by the streets or going to work, simply because they know that a criminal might come out of nowhere and rob them, ultimately killing them.

The Etv news has aired this on their screens earlier today, bringing this issue to the masses and hopefully the residents of Johannesburg will get assistance and protection against drugs and crime. DA counsellors have come forward and promised the people of Johannesburg change.

It is a sad reality that most people in this free country, live confined in their homes out of fear for their lives. Truly the government needs to intervene and help out these residents so that they too can enjoy our beautiful democratic country, South Africa.

No one should live in fear just because some people decided to be hardened criminal, the police need to step up and serve the people, afterall that is what they swore to do, protecting the public is the oath they willingly made and now they must get too work.

Politicians too must step up to the table and serve the people, they must stop with their many promises and start delivering, they were chosen by the people to serve the people and now it's time they start getting to work for the people are troubled.
