A 60 year old mother from Vaal in Sebokeng decided to tell her ordeal at the hands of her son to SABC. She have been living in a 2 roomed shack with her son, her son slept in the bedroom whilst she slept in the kitchen but the son will wake up at night and came to her, and order her to open up her blankets, and order her, "give it to me. Give it to me. And she undress her.
This have been happening over a decade till recently in this month of march. She feel bad to go through such a traumatic experience, under the hands of her son. Imagine, you give birth to a chikd and the child you gave birth rapes you.
It emerged that her son is having problems with drugs. He hallucinate, sometimes when he is high on drugs. At some stage whilst she was away at a piece job, her neighbor phoned her to her that her son was burning up her shack. She lost everything in that arson.
She feels like she can just ran away. The social workers in the Sebokeng area took her to a safe place where she will be taken care of and mental evaluated. Her son will also be mental evaluated. If he is ill mentally, he will be taken to a mental institution where he will stay. The social workers have also opened up a criminal case against her son. They will also try to trace her relatives.
