#BuyaMthetho By-laws operation conducted by Johannesburg Metro Police Department from RegionC Operations officers in the Roodepoort CBD. An Authorised Official may remove and impound any property of an Informal Trader which is found at a place where Informal Trading is restricted or prohibited. Police are always urging members of the public to make sure that they get licences so that the trading can be formalized and legal but it seems that many people do not have sufficient funds to do that all the time.

Some people are not happy because they feel like the government is very wrong by putting such restrictions as many people are jobless, and they are trying to make a living resident stealing from other people and yet they are being deprived of doing so. The government is aware that these people are trying to put food on their tables, but then they keep harassing them which is what leads many people to end up being involved in Criminal activities.
