In a brief statement, Christians Village Shopping Center said it could confirm a man was shot dead by a customer at his table at Mug n Bean this morning.
“The suspect was recorded by SAPS Hillcrest. Our deepest condolences to the family and shoppers who witnessed this devastating scene.Christians Village is open for business and the scene has been isolated."

The bloodied body of Verulam Naidoo, the former mayor of KZN, was found in a sugar cane field Thursday morning found at his home in Canelands
This comes after the 74-year-old man was allegedly kidnapped as part of a precipitous attack on a farm on Wednesday
According to SA Reaction Unit (RUSSIA) spokesman Prem Balram, Naidoos was killed by Bullet-riddled bodies recovered by search team patrolling sugarcane fields
"An intense search was conducted throughout the day yesterday by members of the South African Response Unit (RUSA), South African Police, community organizations and civilian volunteers and again this morning recorded.He was apparently shot at multiple times.”
During the intensive search, an R44 helicopter was seen circling the suburb Wednesday afternoon. The search was called off Wednesday afternoon and resumed Thursday morning.
