A terrible accident that occured on N3 in KZN it is reportedly that it has left 16 passengers burnt to death.

Road traffic management corporation spokesperson Simon Zwane said that the incident happened around 2am in a morning when a truck overturned onto the central reservation of the freeway.

It is further reported that a minibus taxi that was approaching the scene it was pushed behind by another truck and trash into a traffic officer's vehicle then into the overturned truck, he said. Other vehicles then hit the wreckage.

Paramedics reported as soon as they could in this incident of car collisions, they came around 3am of which means they arrived after an hour. Unfortunately it was too late for the 16 taxi passengers who had already burnt to death.

When rescuers arrived on the scene of incident it is said that the fire had spread to other cars.
