UMLAZI police are investigating an attempted murder case following the shooting death of Max’s Lifestyle owner, Max Mqadi.
Police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele told the Daily News that a case of attempted murder had been opened and was being investigated
After sustaining gunshot wounds he was able to drive himself to Florida Road in Morningside. When he arrived in Morningside he was later rushed to hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
It was not immediately clear why he was shot and why. Police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele said the two suspects shot Max and were able to flee the scene.
