A popular mall in Pretoria came to an abrupt standstill after man fell from the third floor.
This shocked many of the shoppers who had converged to buy their essentials.
The incident happened this morning at around 8 am the popular Menlyn Mall in Pretoria and police are now investigating what happened.
Emer-G-Med said the reason for his fall and the events preceding it are unclear and will be the subject of a police investigation.
Emergency paramedics were immediately called to scene as soon as the man fell.
The man has been confirmed to be aged 30 and he is in a critical condition in hospital.
Emer-G-Med said the man was found in a critical condition and advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilise him before he was placed on a mechanical ventilator to help him breathe.
Police could not be drawn to give an official comment about what transpired but they are still busy with the investigations.
