Ismail is alleged to have conspired to kill his brother in order to create a financial ritual with the help of a healer and another person.
Babawale Afolabi, a spokesman for the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), confirmed the development in Ilorin, the state capital, on Saturday. He said the event took place last Friday in Kosubosu, the local capital of the Baruten Local Government.
NSCDC staff at the Kosubosu council office received a pressing call from the community regarding the unusual movements of certain people in their areas.
"Herbalist Ahmed Nkwe, 44, Smaila Saliu, 25, and Saliu Ahmed, 30, were arrested after police from the department's office and anti-vandalism staff started working," he said.
The suspects dragged the deceased to the farm, where he was brutally murdered by his blood brother, Lsmail Saliu, according to Afolabi.
He said luck was running out for the suspects as they were caught by NSCDC police returning from the farm.
"The main suspect, who is the deceased's brother, admitted that he himself sacrificed his own brother with the help of a herbalist and someone else," Afolabi said.
