eNCA's Ronald Masinga is in the cape flats in Cape Town where two teens have been gunned down in a drive-by shooting in Beacon Valley Michelle's Plain. Four others have sustained injuries. The police say the motive for the shooting is unknown and no arrests have been made.
What is know about the shooting is that the shooters went on a shooting spree o e of the kids is an eighteen year old who was a matriculant who went to Aloe high school.
Rafique Hendricks one of the community bembers he states that he spoke to the mother of the child who was shot. And it is heartbreaking to see not only these children in question but all of the kids in the community are not safe.
And these children are innocent they just play football in the street sometimes or in fields, as children do. Yes this is a community that has gangs and drugs. But this time it is not even gang related it is just innocent children being gunned down and it is not the first time
In terms of police investigations, what has been done about this. And the community members say nothing has been done.
