4 mini buses have been set alight in Johannesburg at caltor centre. The taxi's were burnt in the early morning of Saturday the 16th of October.

The ordeal is as a result of taxi violence between associates. The incident happened in the centre of Johannesburg at Carlton Centre.

Taxi violence is something that is reoccurring in South Africa, most recently a similar incident happened in Port Elizabeth after a taxi driver had drove over a Somalian.

The Somalians retaliated and set the taxi's on fire. This caused a major stir and potential racial war, fortunately the police intervined before the incident escalated.

It is unknown at this point what the tension was in this case, this is a developing story and an update will be provided as soon as it is available.

What do you you think can be done for the taxi industry to operate better without the tension?
