Taxi Associations Reach Agreement But Has Not Done Something Very Important (Read More)

Following the violence that recently erupted between taxi drivers, the government of South Africa called on peace talk and two Johannesburg taxi associations have reached an agreement to maintain peace but have failed to sign an agreement.

Probably soon the agreement would be signed by the associations so that peace will continue to rain amongst the Taxi drivers.

eNCA news confirms the report of The Taxi drivers reaching an agreement in a tweet that says, “Two warring Johannesburg taxi associations have reached an agreement but the peace deal has not yet been signed. Gauteng Transport MEC Jacob Mamabolo met the two associations after violence erupted last weekend. #DStv403”

This is not the first time that taxi violence is occurring in South Africa, in the previous years the government tried to control the fight but seems things were not working well. Every time the fight keeps occurring but hopefully, this last agreement may bring a positive change.

Indeed the decision to have a peace talk within this taxi organization was good and I strongly believe this may bring an end to Taxi violence in South Africa.
