Bad News For South Africans As Houses Are Been Sold To ‘Illegal Foreigners’

Cape Town - The Patriotic Alliance (PA) is requesting that the City follow up on what it claims are the deals of Breaking New Ground (BNG) houses, previously known as RDP houses, to "unlawful outsiders" and has vowed to stop such deals in the event that it comes to control in nearby government decisions.

The party's Western Cape appointee pioneer Sammy Claassen said the PA knew about unlawful outsiders who were purchasing or leasing private BNG homes and changing over them into spaza shops or putting them to other business use.

"We losing millions as these monies that might have been added to the fiscus through expenses and administrations are lost because of the circumstance of illicit outsiders discovering provisos in the framework.

"All our mayoral up-and-comers will utilize the courts, by-laws and a viable organization of law requirement units to extradite and stop this. This is a nearby government capacity and obligation which is disregarded under the DA and ANC rule," said Claassen.

Reacting to the issue of the illicit deal or rental of BNG houses, Mayco part for human settlements Malusi Booi said the law was certain that beneficiaries of BNG houses needed to save the house for somewhere around eight years before they could sell.

"In case it is sold following eight years, it is an adequate unregulated economy exchange. Moreover, as per the City's portion strategy a recipient will not lease their property until the exchange of the property has been enrolled.

"During the initial eight years, it is the property of the State and may not be utilized for any type of criminal behavior.

"The general purpose of getting a sponsored house is to move recipients out of casualness, to help with admittance to reasonable lodging and to give recipients a resource that they can choose how to manage when the eight-year prohibitive statement reaches a conclusion," said Booi.

He said if the PA had any confirmation of their charges, they should contact the police as they are the lead authority liable for wrongdoing avoidance.
