The Man had a Company which defrauded the City of of Johannesburg R66 million, the name of the Company is Setheo Engineering.
The Company had a R126 million contract with the city to build a substation in Eldorado Park.
The man in his affidavit that he was an Law abiding foreign National in the country with documentation necessary, at the time of the fraud 6 years back, the man was the Project manager of the company which secured contract using fraudulent Bank guarantee which results in the city believing that they had the balance sheet to handle the project
The man by the name of Brighton appeared in the ridge magistrate court for charges of fraud, corruption and money laundering which he swindled from the city.
The suspect is further accused of R22 million paid to him for the lowly substation, this are the allegations made by actionSA leader who was at the time Johannesburg mayor, he said that the NPA had refused to persecute the man and the ANC accused him of targeting businesses which were owned by blacks.
