A South African national has shared a post on social media concerning the current load-shedding in the country.
According to her, she hated the load-shedding because it gives criminals authority when it is dark.
"Part of the reason I hate #loadsheddding is because when it’s dark the criminals become brave. I literally can’t explain the anxiety I feel. And to be told this is going to be with us for a while."
Some South African nationals have reacted to this in different ways, take a look at some of their responses below;
"Where do you stay? Aren’t you staying in a secure estate?"
"What kind of question is that? What difference does that make?"
"I hear you. Luckily we have an amazing NBW that patrols more during blackouts if at night. I also activate alarm even if it started like at 6 as it's already getting dark (in CT) and my place is surrounded with beams so even before they get to the door or windows alarm will sound."
"With us for a while. IT'S HERE TO STAY and will get worse. Let's not fool South Africans by trying to be optimistic. SOEs are in shambles."
"I miss curfew, felt so much safer then, but I agree even with a running we sitting ducks."
