"Billions meant for the fight against Covid-19 were stolen" ANC veteran Sexwale blast out Ramaphosa


ANC veteran and businessman Tokyo Sexwale alleges that money from the Heritage Fund - which was supposed to benefit the poor - has been stolen. The funds will be used for a variety of purposes, including providing free education to those in need. Sexwale has been involved in raising billions of rand together with what he's called a very powerful family.

He made the revelations on Sunday night's eNCA Truth to Power talk show, hosted by JJ Tabane. The funds will be used for a variety of purposes, including providing free education to those in need. The money is being investigated by police, he stated. It comes as higher education institutions and students are embroiled in a protracted battle with Minister of Higher Education Blade Nzimande over institutional funding and the cancellation of students' historical debts.

It also emerged as politicians and businesses are facing criminal charges for Covid-19 tender irregularities which saw more than R2 billion PPE tenders awarded irregularly in Gauteng and other provinces. The funds were intended to be used in the fight against Covid and to help university students pay off their mounting debt.
