WATCH | 2 Police Officers Are Lucky To Escape A Gun Battle With Courier Van Robbers

Two police officers were lucky to escape without incurring any injuries after a serious gun fight between the police officers and two courier van robbers in Fleurhof, Randburg. Of course the suspects were acting as if they are surrendering, but it seems like they were very determined to ensure that they shoot the police officer who helped himself by retaliating and ensuring that he will execute the suspects.

From the Gauteng police, Colonel Dimakatso Sello has established to the general public that the officers were doing their routine patrols when they suddenly spotted suspects in what seems to be a suspicious-looking vehicle and as soon as they approached the vehicle.

Two suspects started shooting at them, the police had no choice but to fight back otherwise their lives would have been in serious danger.

Perhaps we should now think about the fact that these individuals are the ones who are caught up in this situation, so of course the ordinary members of the public are caught up in a situation where they will be in such a situation.

In videos shared on social media, two gunmen can be seen opening the door of the courier vehicle and forcing the driver to move from behind the driver's seat. A second video shows a South African Police Services officer carrying a firearm, standing in front of the courier vehicle, and ordering the suspects to step out of the vehicle.

As the occupants and the courier van driver get out of the vehicle, one of the men produces a firearm and opens fire at the police officer. The officer is seen falling to the ground as he fires back which is a common tactic that the officers often use in order to ensure that they can survive the incident, this is definitely something that is very concerning to the ordinary members of the public.

The men fled the scene in an unknown direction escaping the police officers and a definitely dangerous situation, fortunately no one was injured during the incident.

The police officers had called for backup but it seems like the reinforcements didn't get to the scene on time and luckily for the suspects, no arrests had been made get and we can only hope that the officer was able to shoot the suspect.

Watch the video on top.
