Today, November 26, 2021, a 16-year-old girl was stabbed to death in Hammanskraal. Malatji, Gontse Ntateko Masha, her 22-year-old lover, allegedly stabbed her nine times. The sad tragedy occurred in Hammanskraal's Stinkwater. According to witnesses, the victim was embroiled in an argument with her attacker inside a closed hut, they subsequently heard her crying for assistance, and by the time people rushed to aid her.

Gender-based violence affects a large number of South African women, and little is being done to address it; the government should take urgent action since women are dying at the hands of males. Many males are getting away with beating up and killing women; the government should at the very least implement the death sentence so that these criminals be dealt with in the proper manner. It was not indicated whether or not this individual was arrested, but many people believe he was and that he should not be released on bond.
