Here Is What Happened After Max Lifestyle's Owner Was Shot By Hitmen

The owner of Max’s Lifestyle, Max Mqadi, 51, flagged down SAPS on Thursday after he was shot in an attempted assassination outside his famous business in Umlazi, south of Durban. According to police spokesperson Brig Jay Naicker, the incident occurred at 7pm. It is alleged that the business owner was leaving the premises, when he was accosted by two gunmen who opened fire on his car.


Naicker said Mqadi sustained two gunshot injuries but was able to drive himself to Florida Road to get help. In two audio clips leaked to TimesLIVE, an unidentified female officers, understood to be stationed in Durban’s CBD, tells the control centre that they have been stopped by Mqadi and asked them to escort him while in the vicinity of Point Road. The officer asks the control room to “code 13” (call) her as they are escorting a Mercedes-Benz.

In the second clip it’s where they got to Netcare hospital where the victim was admitted after he was shot multiple times in his legs, he was very fortunate that the government did not shoot his leg after his iPhone could not pass though. According to the statement that was issues, the entrepreneur is recuperating.
