Municipal housing is tired of freeloaders who are not paying rent at Garena. They owe R63 million.

The municipal housing in Ladanna outside Polokwane in Limpopo is tired of freeloaders who live at Garena housing complex for not paying rent. The residents allegedly owe the municipality R63 million in rental.

The municipal housing brought the police to the complex to help with the eviction of the freeloading tenants. Their furniture was removed from the unit and was put outside.

The municipal housing built housing units and rented them out to residents with income of R15000 or lower. Many people jumped to the opportunity of living in town.

The new mayor Counsellor Mpe means business. Since he took over from Thembi Nkadimeng who left to a national post, he has been doing a sterling work.

The freeloaders will now find themselves living on the streets for neglecting to pay their rent. We all need to pay our on way in this world. People cannot just occupy units without paying anything.
