Old granny leaves Mzansi in stitches after she was filmed chasing ANC members from her home

Politics affects everyone, whether we participate or not. Certain individuals may be caught up in circumstances that cause them to despise their current leaders or to feel as though they are not even considered.

South Africa's economic situation has caused many people to cast doubt on the ruling party. There have been allegations of corruption within the party, which has impacted a large number of South Africans, many of whom are suffering to the point of not knowing where their next meal will come from.

An elderly woman was filmed chasing ANC members away from her homes while they conducted door-to-door campaigns. She made it abundantly clear that she had no desire to work with them, as she had grown tired of hearing the same story every time they ran a campaign.

Many people found it amusing but also commended her for her bravery and ability to stand up for herself in that manner. "'This elderly lady demonstrates incredible political awareness and bravery... Where is this place?" one twitter user commented. Some believed she was also teaching her granddaughter, with whom he was filmed, how to be brave and stand up for herself.

Many people fear those in positions of power to the point where they are unable to express their thoughts, but this granny exhibited true bravery.

Although campaigns are the norm prior to elections, voters are free to support whichever candidate they wish. Everyone has legitimate reasons for supporting a particular political party, and it is their right to do so. However, the world would be a better place if there were more grannies like her who are aware of the country's politics and capable of standing up for what they believe in.
