The re-elected Mayor of Collins Chabane Local Municipality in Limpopo under the ANC Government in Vhembe District, Cllr Moses Maluleke , said he and his team will work around the clock to accelerate service delivery and development under his second administration.
During the meeting for Formalization and Proclamation of Saselamani with Xikundu traditional council and stakeholders, The Mayor said" he will prioritise service delivery which has been an ongoing priority in the municipality since its establishment in 2016.
"As the Collins Chabane Municipality, we must be people-centered municipality and all our Programmes should be centred around the needs of our people and also be responsive to the needs of the people. "Communities can be partners in the delivering of services and the Knowledge of what to do does not always reside with political leaders but we need to engage our communities and work with them closely to achieve this goal. We Will be ensuring that service delivery is of a dignified and efficient quality," he said.
Mayor Maluleke also reminded people of the meaning of Ubuntu and said that the universal bond that comes with sharing connects all humanity. “I ask that we keep Ubuntu in mind as we move forward, so every decision is taken in order to provide to all our people".
"Furthermore, officials have committed themselves to carry out our mandate with due diligence and I have no doubt that they will be able to fulfil this task," mayor told residents of Saselamani.
The Mayor was accompanied by the Executive Committee Members responsible for Development and Planning services Cllr Elvis Lebea, Acting Municipal Manager Mr Richard Shilenge, Acting Senior Manager for Planning Mr Collen Radali and other officials of the Municipality.
