New Loadshedding Regulations Have Been Outlined To The Public

Eskom said without further ado before 1pm on Monday that it would execute stage 4 engineered power outages countrywide beginning at 1pm until 5am on Friday.

The power utility said this was because of continuous age limit deficiencies.

"While Eskom laments the heightening in load-shedding, it is important to apportion the leftover crisis age holds which have been used broadly toward the beginning of today as we are not getting the decrease popular anticipated from the execution of stage 2 burden shedding.

"It was expected seven extra units would have gotten back to support by Monday, and this has not appeared," the troubled power utility said.

Eskom said a creating unit at Arnot power station stumbled on Monday morning and further added to the deficiencies.

Complete breakdowns add up to 14,874MW while arranged support is 5,579MW of limit.

Stage 2 burden shedding will proceed from Friday until 5am on Saturday.
