Kwazulu Natal disaster management services remain on high alert for more bad weather in the province. In Siyanda, outside of Kwa-mashu, Two man died after a wall collapsed on their shack on Thursday.
And in another unrelated incident one person was swept away by a raging river in Mtubatuba. eNCA's reporter Thuba Velani speaks to witnesses.
The wall collapsed on the two man while they were sleeping. Neighbors say that they watched helplessly as the wall fell and waiting for emergency response.
Xolani Mbambo one of the neighbors says that he was at home when he heard a loud crash, he ran to try and help but he couldn't find them.
Family members were also asleep when the incident happened, Wiseman Mhlongo who is a family member says that he suspects that it is due to the rain that the wall collapsed. And since there was construction on the other side of the property and there was sand against the wall, and the wall could not hold up anymore. It took more than nine hours for the rescue team to retrieve the bodies.
