Man Cuts Off Teenager’s Hand For Resisting Rape In Uganda

A 16-year-old senior two understudy in Bududa Area, Uganda, has described how she was waylaid and assaulted by a cleaver using man who remove her hand after she opposed his endeavor to assault her. 

Evelyn Namasopo disclosed to Mbale Boss Officer, Mr James Mawanda, during a meeting at Bubulo Justice's Court in Manafwa Area on Wednesday, April 7, that the presume Derrick Kuloba, 25, assaulted her almost a woods on her path home to pick sheets and nourishment for her wiped out mother who had been conceded. 

"He (Kuloba) began requesting me to UnCloth and when I denied he pulled out a cleaver and began cutting me. He needed to cut my head however I attempted to watch it with my correct hand," she told court during knowing about a case in which Kuloba is blamed for endeavored murder. 

Evelyn said she made a caution wanting to get help however to no end, adding that she's actually encountering a ton of agony. 

The casualty blamed police and Mbale Court for attempting to disappoint her case in light of the fact that Kuloba was delivered under muddled conditions a couple of days after his capture.

Arraignment told court that Kuloba, an occupant of Nabooti Town, Nakatsi Sub-Area in Bududa Region, on July 4, 2020 furnished with a cleaver, waylaid the person in question and assaulted her prior to slashing off her correct hand in a bungled assault

In her declaration, the young lady further requested that court give Kuloba an unforgiving discipline. 

The case was dismissed to April 8, 2021 when Arraignment is relied upon to introduce more observers in court. 

Her mom, Ms Juliet Khainza said: "We had trusted that this case will begin yet to no end. I need my girl to get equity." 

Ms Khainza requested that the speculate foot her girl's hospital expenses, forthcoming judgment, saying her family could at this point don't manage the cost of her drug.
