He killed her and chopped her into pieces, Court Sentence Suitcase Killer to 25 Years

East London High Court Judge Thami Bheshe has sentenced convicted murderer Alutha Pasile to an effective 25 years in prison.

Pasile murdered and dismembered Nosicelo Mtebeni in August this year. He then stuffed her parts in a suitcase. Mtebeni was a final year law student at Fort Hare University.

Pasile confessed to the court that the she commited the crime thinking that Mtebeni was cheating on him. However, he has since apologised to the family by the rejected the apology.

“We are not happy with this sentence. He [Pasile] had time to go buy tools to dismember my child and he gets off lightly with the crime. We expected a life sentence. We will talk about how we challenge this as a family," said Nosicelo's father.

Most of the social media users, agreed with the family and said that 25 years was not enouh.

"I don't understand how they didn't sentence him to life in prison. Not only did he kill her but he chopped her into pieces to dispose her body. She could have never been found! The justice system is beyond incompetent. Cause let's not forget he might be released on parole too," wrote a user.
