Shocking former footballer of Bafana Bafana and Orlando pirates has been arrested by hawks Patrick Phungwayo.
On Tuesday 16th of November 2021 a former orlando pirates star Patrick Phungwayo has been arrested by the hawks for robbery,theft and car jacking with his friends at east of Joburg in Lombardy. Colonel Katlego Mohale said that the operational was made by tactical unit tracker company etc.Colonel Mohale added that the Vehicle trackers team received information about a gang of armed men using a vehicle of audi during hijacking and home breaking and robbery in the suburbs of Gauteng East of Johannesburg. And when the team proceeded to lombardy, east they spotted the gang where the back up of police were called.
And the police entered the residents premises and the gang were arrested right in the spots, they were found in possession of three (3) illegal fire arms, house breaking tools, tv sets, gloves to hide finger prints, smartphones robbed in honeydew were found in the white Audi which was hijacked at at bramley at the begining of this year with the incorrect registration number plate.
The Audi vehicle was recovered was not the only car was hijacked by the former Bafana Bafana and orlando pirates star,a kia picanto was recovered at the very same premises with false registration the picanto was robbed to the owner at linden in July.
Colonel katlego Mohale said and added that the gang of robbers will appear in the magistrate court next month
