Karen, who appeared on Radio Maisha's morning show "Kesi mashinani," told how her father defiled her when she was in secondary school. Karen claims that it all started when the father and mother divorced.
Karen was ordered to return home to pay her school fees. Her mother instructed her to go to her father's house and ask him to pay the school fees. However, the girl's father returned home inebriated and forcibly defiled her. That was the day she became pregnant. Karen claims that her father is an aggressive and inebriated primary school teacher. After defiling her, the man provided Karen with transportation and instructed her to leave the next morning.
If she informed anyone, her father threatened to kill her and himself if she did.
Karen took her brother to her father's house a month later since he was going to be circumcised. The man did not abandon her. He went ahead and defiled her again. She never told anyone about it, not even her mother.
She told her father when she found out she was pregnant, and he advised her to have an abortion. Karen was not the one who did it. She gave birth to a child in 2017. Karen, like many others, dropped out of school owing to trauma and depression before marrying.
These memories, however, continue to haunt her, as the father continues to defile other young women. Other girls have been violated and forced to about by this terrible monster, in addition to Karen. Karen defied the odds by informing her mum. She instructed her to make a statement on tape. This lady want to travel from Nairobi to Kitale in order to record the statement. She has pledged that she will not stop until this man is imprisoned and left to rot. She is still suffering from depression and is seeking treatment. Why are humans so cruel to one another?
