Chief drug dealer gets taken down on N12

The Western Cape province of South Africa continues to be one of the areas which houses a large number of drug dealers. These drug dealers will be supplying drugs to members of the community and criminals.

Gang members are believed to be the ones who are behind the trade of drugs in this area. They often get wounded or killed as they often get involved in massive shootout as they battle for territory.

In a report that was published by the members of the South African Police Services on the 7th of October 2021, a team of officers managed to take down one of the chief drug dealers. In an operation which was conducted by the members of the police department, it resulted in the arrest of a 30 year old drug supplier.

At the time of his arrest on the N12 at a vehicle check point, he was in possession of 603 boss Mandrax tablets. These tablets he had are believed to command a street value of about R63 180. A dedicated team of officers arrested him at around 11 in the morning while he was in a vehicle that was driving towards the George direction. He was travelling in a VW Golf Polo vehicle which the members pulled over.

A search was done on the vehicle and no drugs were found. Upon searching the occupants, that is when the drugs were discovered.

A suspect who is believed to be a chief drug supplier in the area was arrested. The drugs were confiscated by the officers and are set to aid them in their investigations. Drugs are being supplied to the rural areas in large quantities as a new market has been discovered. These drugs are now being to assist criminals in commuting unlawful acts. They therefore do not contribute to anything positive.
