The eThekwini Municipality Has Released An Official Statement To The Public

The city, answering protests from occupants about the variety and general nature of faucet water, particularly since the April floods, says water is routinely tried in the lab.

"Examining and testing is attempted for all eThekwini water treatment works, mass water repositories, water big haulers and reticulation frameworks in consistence with the prerequisites of the National Drinking Water Standard, SA National Standard (SANS) 241: 2015," said the district.

In a video posted on the city's Facebook page the most common way of testing is made sense of.

Sibusiso Mncibi, the administrator of the Water and Sanitation Biological Laboratory, says the lab has been licensed for around 10 years.
